Diane Landry: Knight of Infinite Resignation

Landry describes her installations as Mouvelle Artworks: work that must be watched for some time before its full meaning is revealed, just as a work of music requires listening from start to finish.

The intricate web of turning lights and darks appear and disappear with the rotation of the wheels, referencing both the hours of the clock and the months of the year while the hiss of falling sand draws attention to the threat of our most precious resource, clean water.

Since inclusion in the acclaimed Oh, Canada exhibition in 2012, the work has toured internationally. Landry lives and works in Quebec City and has a vast, multi-disciplinary art practice, exhibiting and performing internationally.
