There are so many ways to connect through art. The Gallery is dedicated to making social participation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. The JNAAG is proud to have established the following programs driven by community needs and we continue to strive to expand our inclusive offerings. Programs have been specifically designed for people with special needs and are facilitated by trained instructors and volunteers.
An Art Program for people with dementia and their care partner.
The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is pleased to partner with the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton to offer Inspirational Moments. Participants will visit the gallery for an afternoon of art discovery, fun and casual conversation about exhibitions and specific art works. Tours are followed by a hands-on art activity.
Redesigned every month and led by trained docents and instructors. No experience required. Curiosity encouraged.

“Art is a stimulant to our emotions and our memories, and we engage in some lively stories and discussions about our exhibitions. Most of the participants keep coming back for more, and the gallery looks forward to their visits: sharing the camaraderie, sharing our “home,” and sharing our thoughts. We are all winners on these days.” – Jane Bouchette (gallery volunteer)
