Are you interested in art? Do you like to work with people in a social learning environment? Join the friendly and dedicated team of volunteers at the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery.
The Gallery has a number of volunteer positions available and opportunities vary depending on your interests and skill set, and training is provided by the staff. As important members of the JNAAG team, volunteers are involved in diverse projects that include special events, tours, art studio assistants, gallery monitoring, and fundraising.
"There has never been a better time to volunteer at the gallery," explains Lisa Daniels, Curator at the JNAAG. "We have some very exciting exhibitions coming up and our Family Sunday Art Drop-ins continue to be very popular in the community. The gallery depends on our volunteers to ensure visitors have the most enjoyable experience."
Daniels continues, "There is really a volunteer position to suit all ages and experience levels."
Anyone with an interest in volunteering is invited to attend one of the gallery's upcoming Volunteer Information Sessions on the following dates:
Wednesday, October 16 - 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday, October 19 - 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
