Random Acts of Art Workshop (RAAW) is a multi-day intensive workshop designed for teens interested in exploring art making. Led by practicing professional artists, RAAW is the perfect balance of instruction and experimentation. No experience necessary. Participants will have an independent lunch break. Bring a lunch or purchase a lunch downtown.
Explore pure imagination in this three-day photography workshop. Award winning photographer Sierra Rei Hart will guide you to create interesting compositions, perfect lighting and express storytelling through the eye of your camera. Experiment with an assortment of tools like spheres, prisms, lights and lenses as well as post-production editing to enhance your creations and bring your imagination to life
Participants will be encouraged and to submit up to five photos to the Teen Photo Contest. Winners will have their art professionally matted and featured in an exhibit at JNAAG in August.
Music and visual art can inspire each other in so many ways, as they share so many elements of creative expression and storytelling through harmony, rhythm, contrast, balance and vibes. Join Julie Fazooli for a fun-filled audio-visual adventure that combines two of the major components of street culture - where you can learn the basics of DJing and find new and creative ways to curate and play with music, as well as create your very own custom skateboard with an exploration of multiple street art and graffiti techniques to "brand" yourself and your stage persona, or experiment with the subject of your choice!
